Dr Sakib Burza, MD, PhD, Chief of Health & Innovation at Health In Harmony, directs the medical and emergency response components of the organization, while also developing the research evidence base for operationalizing planetary health. Sakib has been working globally in the humanitarian health sector since 2003, mainly with Doctors Without Borders, moving to Health In Harmony to focus on the interface between ecology and health. A practicing physician, Sakib maintains an honorary Associate Professor position in the Clinical Research Department at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and is a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Tropical Medicine at Nagasaki University.
