Jonathan Jennings is CEO of Advocacy, Talent and Operations at Health In Harmony, where he helps advance the organization’s work to protect tropical rainforests by supporting the health and well-being of the communities who steward them. He and his teams work alongside Indigenous People and local rainforest communities across the tropics to advance community-designed solutions that connect human health, livelihoods, and rainforest protection. Jennings brings more than 20 years of experience in humanitarian leadership and advocacy across the former Yugoslavia, sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia. Before joining Health In Harmony in 2017, he spent more than 13 years with Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières, including as Deputy Executive Director of Doctors Without Borders Canada. His work has increasingly focused on planetary health and the connections between healthy communities and healthy ecosystems.
